This master bath remodel was designed to maximize both elegance and functionality within a limited space, meeting the specific needs of the client’s girlfriend following knee surgery. The transformation included the removal of the existing tub/shower, replacing it with a spacious walk-in shower. This new shower features a built-in bench, providing a place to rest if needed, and is equipped with strategically placed grab bars to ensure safety and support, as well as four 9” corner shelves for convenient storage within the shower. The shower floor was finished with the Glazzio New Belfont Collection in Casual Grace, while the walls were adorned with Tiec Avalanche 12×24 tiles in Statuary Matte, arranged in a sleek horizontal stack pattern.
To further enhance accessibility, a fold-down grab bar was installed next to the toilet, offering secure support while preventing reliance on the vanity. The cabinetry chosen was from the Fabuwood Allure Galaxy line in a Frost finish, creating a sophisticated and airy ambiance. This is beautifully complemented by the Aurora Emerstone Quartz countertops, which add both durability and elegance.
The walls were painted using Sherwin-Williams Upward, adding a soft and serene backdrop to the space. Brushed Satin Nickel fixtures were selected for their timeless appeal and subtle sheen, perfectly coordinating with the Nashville Adrock 12×24 Tile in Nickel used for the flooring.
The tile color and texture add depth and interest to the space, tying together the room’s modern yet classic aesthetic. A lighted vanity mirror was included to enhance both functionality and style, providing ample lighting for daily routines.
In response to the need for additional storage within this small footprint, the door was replaced with a space-saving pocket door. In addition to the 30” vanity, a 24” W x 12” D linen cabinet was recessed into the wall next to the vanity by borrowing space from the adjacent walk-in closet, providing ample storage without compromising the room’s layout.
This remodel transforms a small master bath into an elegant, highly functional retreat, blending style and practicality to meet this client’s specific needs.
