Welcome to the charming Ulmstead, MD kitchen remodel, a delightful project designed by the talented Leesa Johnson, currently of Annapolis Kitchen and Bath. This kitchen transformation is a true testament to thoughtful design and attention to detail.

The highlight of this remodel was the removal of the wall separating the old kitchen and dining room, creating a more open and spacious layout. The addition of a large island, affectionately referred to as a “small continent,” became the centerpiece of the kitchen, providing ample workspace and a perfect spot for gathering with family and friends.

One of the standout features of this kitchen is the unique flooring, where repurposed brick was meticulously shaved to ¼” thickness and laid like tile by a skilled stone mason. This creative touch adds a touch of rustic charm to the space, blending seamlessly with the kitchen’s overall aesthetic.

The intricate basket weave tile backsplash further enhances the kitchen’s character, adding texture and visual interest to the walls. Every detail was carefully considered to ensure the kitchen exudes warmth and style.

In terms of functionality, the kitchen is equipped with top-of-the-line appliances, including a Décor microwave drawer, warming drawer, gas cooktop, and under-counter fridge. The dishwasher setup is thoughtfully designed, featuring a dish drawer and a full-sized dishwasher for added convenience.

The Ulmstead kitchen remodel has left a lasting impression on both the clients and the design team, fostering a continued relationship as Annapolis Kitchen and Bath has assisted with other projects for this delighted client.

This kitchen has become a true reflection of the homeowner’s taste and lifestyle, embodying both beauty and functionality. It stands as a testament to the expertise of the design team and the seamless collaboration between creativity and craftsmanship.
